Other Ten Percent 12/21/12

Dec 21 2012

Okay so this is probably the last normal OTP of the year. Next week I’m planning to do various best of the year posts but I don’t really have them planned out yet except for Monday which will probably be the super last minute holiday gift guide to holiday gift guides.

don’t even talk to me about the akiraprise

Okay I know I have no right to be surprised when I share T-Rex’s opinion on things anymore but COME ON this is uncanny.

A stretched sheet of spandex acts as a membrane interface…

There’s a less lazy version of me that also had the disposable income to buy a huge sheet of spandex to test this out who used something like this in his final graduate project instead of just a regular projector and some.

Dinosaur Comics creator’s Choose-your-own-adventure Hamlet beats all Kickstarter publishing records

If you’re one of those people that wakes up in the middle of the night and ends up reading OTP right as it comes out you might still have time to donate to this. It now looks like it’ll get remarkably close to $600,000 which is insane.

Amazon Studios orders six original comedy pilots for its Prime Instant Video service

I’m going to call 2013 as the year everybody notices that web video is going to replace TV (sup new season of Arrested Development?) but 2014 as the year that actually starts to REALLY happen.
