Other Ten Percent 9/10/12

Sep 10 2012

I am ready to get back into a routine because this Sunday edged way too far into being a lazy Sunday and i sort of ended it having played enough games, eaten enough junk food, and watched enough TV I don’t even really like that much to start asking myself what the hell I’m doing with my life. Sorry about Friday’s OTP being so super late by the way. I know the intro made it seem like that was because I wrote it super late but it was actually Dreamhost’s newsletter system mysteriously exploding again. Hoping it doesn’t happen again today. I keep promising I’ll figure out some alternative solution to that and…someday I will. For now though, links.

Internet video’s robotic, idiotic copyright cops
So I continue to find this stuff fascinating and terrifying and the fact that it’s happening so much lately makes me think there’s going to be a major cultural/legal move about the whole thing before too long but that may be wishful thinking.

RGB Colorspace Atlas, A Cubed Book Depicting Every Color Imaginable
I have no idea how accurate that headline is or if this is at all useful in any way but I’ll be damned if it isn’t super pretty.

How To See The Future
Warren Ellis sets out a speech that might as well be OTP’s mission statement now that it’s slowly drifted from being about saving you time to figuring out what’s coming next.
